If this is a first time adventure, this is a common question. Some ask, "Can my camper just use a school bookbag?" All of our teen programs require a hiking style backpack suitable to hold ALL of their gear for the week. This means they need a large professional style bag. While low quality bags can start as cheap as $70 and go up to hundreds of dollars, an average price for a decent bag that will not rip or tear and leave you stranded may cost around $175 - $225.
Not everyone wants to shell out that kind of money for a one time or first time adventure. For those campers, we have high quality backpacks available to rent at a low weekly rate. If interested, simply click the "Rental Backpack" option at the time of registration.
