Our Location
The Wilderness Christian Camp is situated on 239 acres of beautiful Appalachian woodland in the rural town of Gay, West Virginia, just 50 minutes north of the capital city, Charleston. Bordering both Jackson and Roane Counties, the camp is surrounded by dense forest and hunting property making it an ideal location to get away from the everyday world and focus on the Creator.

Directions FROM Ripley, WV or Fairplain, WV:
Take I-77 to exit 132 (Fairplain – Ripley).
Turn east at the end of the ramp.
Take first right (Cedar Lakes Rd.).
Follow Cedar Lakes Rd. about 1 mile to the top of the hill.
Take a sharp right on to Statts Mills Rd. (Also called "Jackson County 36". This road is easy to miss. If you start traveling downhill you missed your turn.)
Drive 12.7 miles to Elk Fork Church Road on left (This road is formally known as Billies Run).
Check-In/Out - Welcome Center: Travel 1/4 of a mile on gravel road to parking lot on left.
Main Campus: Travel 3/4 of a mile on gravel road to camp on the right.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the remote location of the camp, navigating via GPS is NOT advised. We have many roads in our area that are on maps but are unmaintained rural farm and forest roads that are not passable by automobile. The GPS cannot tell the difference and often leads travelers down unpassable roads. Many people ignore this note and get lost. Following our provided directions is your best option. Simply route your GPS to Fairplain, WV and follow our driving directions from there (Approx. 30 minute drive).
